Worcester- Hortencia Cabrera, 87, passed away at home on Friday, September 25, 2015 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Hortencia leaves behind her four children- Antonio Correa and his wife Nicolasa of Arecibo, Puerto Rico, Flordaliza Gonzalez and her husband Bolivar of Worcester, Judith Correa-Cruz and her husband Wilberto Cruz of Worcester, and Linda Guzman of Worcester, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Hortencia was predeceased by her first husband Antonio Correa, her second husband Emilo Serrano, her parents Felicita Molina and Elysardo Cabrera and three sisters.
Hortencia loved cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and nothing made her smile more than to spend the day with them. Prior to her illness, Hortencia was very involved in her Pentecostal Church.
Calling Hours for Hortencia will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from 7-9PM at the Graham, Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors- 838 Main Street Worcester. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 11AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery.
