Rudolph (Rudy) Anthony DeNitti, 88

The greatest gift we ever had, was sent by God and we called him “Dad”

WORCESTER –A golden heart stopped beating and hard working hands are now at rest. Saturday, February 4, 2017, Rudolph (Rudy) A. DeNitti, 88, after a valiant struggle with Parkinson’s Disease, passed peacefully at the St. Francis Home surrounded by his loving family.

Rudy is survived by his loving wife, Rita M. (Kowalcky) DeNitti.  They just recently celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary.  Rudolph was the son of John and Augusta (Roncone) DeNitti.

Rudy shared an eternal bond with each of his children, they will miss him immeasurably.  His children are: Annmarie (Robert) DesRosiers (W. Springfield), Patricia Kelley (Worcester), John (Nancy) DeNitti (Auburn) and Karen (Jody) Brammer (Worcester).  “Pa-Pa Rudy” leaves his devoted grandchildren; John DeNitti Jr., Matthew Crowley, Gina Church and Katelyn Kelley.  His 3 great-children are; Liliana Kelley, Nathan Church and Jacob DeNitti.

Rudy attended local schools and was a graduate of Bear Automotive School in Rock Island, IL.  He is a veteran of the US Army and served in the Korean War.  Rudy was employed by Harrington and Richardson as a foreman and for many years as a Warranty Administrator/Service Advisor for the local car industry.

Rudy and Rita loved to travel and took many international trips.  They made numerous trips to Italy to see Rudy’s extended family.  Other memorable trips were to The Holy Land, Switzerland, Ireland, Australia, Hawaii and Aruba.  

A favorite pastime over the years was watching New England sports, especially our New England Patriots.  These later years he enjoyed watching on TV, but in early years Rudy took the kids to see the Red Sox and the Bruins.

Rudy enjoyed visits with his best friend (his Comparé) from childhood, Vincent DiLeo.  Their visits together were meaningful and whenever they parted, it was with laughter and hugs.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Kate Williams, NP for her 12 years of compassionate care.  

All are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday February 7, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Graham, Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors, 838 Main Street Worcester, MA.  There will be a calling hour on Wednesday February 8, 2017 at the funeral home from 10:00 – 11:00 am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am; Committal will follow at the Notre Dame Mausoleum Chapel.  To share a memory or offer condolences, a guest book is available at www.gpmfunerals.com

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate a donation to any of the following charities;
