Robert A Chiarvalloti

 Robert A Chiarvalloti left for his extended fishing trip with his God on May 19, 2023.   He was born in Clinton MA, October 3rd, 1942, to Sylvester and Anne (Goralski) Chiaravalloti.
 

 He had been bravely battling several health conditions since March, and passed quietly at home, surrounded by his family.   He set sail without his wife of 58 years, E. Irene Chiarvalloti, his daughter Lisa Reynolds of IL, and his son Brian of Worcester.  After 80 years of twinning, his identical twin, Richard Chiaravalloti of Millbury, is now truly “one of a kind”.
 

 Bob had a bevy of grandchildren who will miss him dearly: Jessica Maguire, Tyler Chiarvalloti and his wife Riley, Kaitlynn Chiarvalloti, John Reynolds, Anthony Chiarvalloti, Grace Reynolds, Mackenzie Chiarvalloti, Ezra Reynolds and Isabella Chiarvalloti, as well as Great Grandchildren, Luchia, Leon, Harper and Jason.   Robert served his country as a tank commander in the 110th armored division during the Vietnam conflict.  Bob was an avid fisherman and loved everything to do with the sport.  He tied his own flies, crafted his own rods, and could troll, cast, jig, roll, tilt, bake, broil, and fry with the best of them.   Few things brought him greater joy than passing on his skills to the next generation, and he was often found hosting kids’ fishing derbies, and teaching children the joys of fishing.   Bob loved children, and many hundreds of Worcester area kids know him as “Santa”. He often donned his suit for children’s Christmas parties at Morgan Construction Company, where he worked for over 40 years, and Singletary Rod and Gun in Oxford, where he served on the board, and was a member for most of his life.   His sparkling blue eyes, gentle nature, and genuine love of giving, made him “the REAL Santa” to many, many people.

  In his later years, Bob was focused on “Making memories” with his family, and hosted several vacations and events to bring them together and nurture bonds between them.   Bob will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

  Burial Services will be held at St. Anne’s church in Shrewsbury on Friday May 26th.   Viewing at 10am, Mass at 11:00am.  In consideration for Bob’s giving nature and love of children, the family asks that donations to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital be made in lieu of flowers.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, 5/27 from 2-6pm at Singletary Rod and Gun Club, 300 Sutton Avenue, Oxford.
