Steven Viner Obituary

Steven E. Viner, age 69, died Saturday morning, April 28th, 2018 with his loving family at his side. He is survived by his two sons and daughter, Steven Viner Jr., Damon Viner, and Stefanie Viner; a brother, Peter Viner; a sister, Susan Brown; nephews and nieces, Jonathan Viner, Eric Hart, Christina Claire, and grandchildren, Matthew McArthur and his wife Elizabeth McArthur, Darrill Viner, Kayleen Viner, Isaac Viner, and Emily Viner; He also leaves his great-grandson: Jackson McArthur.

Born in Worcester, Steven was raised by the late Clayton and Marjorie Viner. Steven graduated from Worcester Boy’s Trade and went on to become one of the top engineers in Massachusetts for over 30 years. Steven loved his family, his Boston teams, golf, and fishing. He wasn’t perfect—he battled depression, which made it difficult for some family to give their love—but that didn’t stop his fractured heart from helping family and friends. Whether someone close needed a place to stay, or a few bucks in crisis, Steven never, ever, hesitated. He will be remembered as, “Pops,” to his children, for being the life of the party, and bringing laughter to those lucky enough to know him.

A celebration of Steven's life will be held from the Graham, Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlor, 838 Main St. Worcester on Saturday, May 12th, 2018 from 11:00am to 12:00pm.  To share a memory or offer condolences, a guestbook is available at www.gpmfunerals.com.
