It is with great sadness the family of Armando Berrios Santiago announces his passing on February 19th, 2020 at the age of 85. Armando is survived by his wife of 63 years Rosemarie Santiago, his four daughters. Norma Wellman and her husband Stephen, Miriam Santiago and her husband Angel Chèvere, Trina Alicia DeJesus and her husband Francisco, Sonia Santiago, and his two sons Jose Fidel Santiago and Armando Santiago Jr and his wife Josephine Santiago. Eleven grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. He is also survived by six sisters and one brother and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents Cesar Santiago Lopez and Joaquina Berrios Rodriguez. Three brothers and five sisters.

He will be remembered for his loving and giving spirit by his family and the community. Armando was also one of the original founders of Centro Las Americas because he believed in the plight of those who were in need and rejected by society.

Armando will be lovingly remembered by family and many friends.

También será recordado por su gran amor por la tierra que lo vio nacer, y nunca se olvidó de sus raíces, y por donde quiera que iba esparcía su gran amor y dejaba un tremendo impacto.
