John D. Grady 56, passed away at UMass University Campus after a brief illness. He was born in Worcester son of John Grady Sr and Betty Bonnette Plouffe who predeceased him in October 2021.
He leaves his wife of 30 years Patricia McElroy Grady, two stepchildren Josh Corcoran of N Dartmouth MA and Meagan Corcoran of Pawtucket RI. A sister Betty Horton and her husband Mark of Worcester. A brother Kevin Grady and his wife Debbie of Auburn. Nieces and nephews Phillip, Heather, Eric, Maggie, James and Delia. As well as his beloved cats Honey and Gracie.
John was a big man with a big personality and made friends wherever he went. He was outgoing and always made an impression on people. He had a big heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to a friend. He was employed by Linders junkyard for many years then worked as an independent tow truck driver until he retired due to a disability several years ago. He loved movies, boxing, cooking and the beach. He enjoyed good music, good food, good friends and working on cars. By far the joy of his life was his family. Especially his wife Trish who was his world, his kitties and his sister Betty with whom he shared a special bond. He will be dearly missed.
After cremation, a Celebration of life will take place at the convenience of the family.
Memorial Contributions can be made to Second Chance Animal Shelter in his memory.
