Leo Davis Senior, 70, departed this life on January 3, 2017 at UMASS Medical Center in Worcester. The son of the late Richard Williams Sr. and Jessie Lee Wormly, was born on June 26, 1946 in Uniontown, Alabama. Leo was educated at Robert C. Hatcher School in Uniontown, AL and accepted Christ at an early age. Leo eventually made his home in the city of Worcester, MA and became a member of Mt. Sanai Church of God.

Leo was always a hard worker and devoted father. He loved the Lord and had a big heart of gold; he would do anything he could for anyone. He loved his Westerns, wrestling, and daily cup of coffee. Leo was known for telling the best stories, making people laugh, and his southern hospitality. Most of all, Leo dedicated his life to his family near and far. Throughout his life, Leo touched the lives of many people, old & young, with love, kindness, and compassion.

He leaves to cherish his memories: Gina Love of Atlanta, GA, Paulette, Tonya, & Jessica Bailey of Worcester, MA, Leola Davis of Tuscaloosa, AL, Adrienne Davis of Monticello, NY, Wife Ella Berry, Leo Davis Jr. and Desiree Berry, & stepchildren Antwaun, Tyjaun, & Tyaune Berry, of Worcester, MA. He is survived by 9 sisters and 5 brothers; 19 cherished grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.


A period of calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 9-11:00am with his funeral service to immediately follow at 11:15am at Mt. Sinai Church of God. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. The repast will be held at The White Eagle following the burial.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: Bailey Family Residence, 77 Harlem St, #2, Worcester, MA 01607.
