I can't express how sorry I was to hear of Sam's passing. I had him in third grade about 9 years ago and knew then what a special young man he would grow up to be. I know how painful this is for you as I lost a son 12 years ago. He is with you and will make himself known. If you ever need to talk, please get in touch.

I want to offer my condolences to the family! I didn't know Sam that will but from what I did know he was a great kid! We just went out to eat together the week before and he was very respectful and funny! My son was friends with him and he did attend our church! He is truly missed and loved! I pray for peace for the family and loved ones of Sam! I pray that they find the person or persons responsible for his death and they are held accountable! RIP: Sam "Showtime" Castro! The Show is not over he's just performing for a different audience!

My baby bro Sammy , God only knows how bad I'm hurting but I can say is I was pleasured to have been apart of your life. You had the best spirit , gifted in way that are indescribable. I can only imagine how my best friend your mother may feel losing her son , her oldest son at that. At this age , man ... You were only 18, losing you in such a horrible way. In the act of violence. You did not deserve this. But you will never be forgotten because you are with one on the mightiest kings. You are at home with our Heavenly Father watching over us all. Give your mom and your loved ones the strength , to remember or the good you were and forgive those who've taken your life. Be with my niece Brooklynn Faith as she gets older and asks about her dear brother. Remove any hurt and pain your brother may feel and continue to enlighten and encourage him to be the man you weren't given time to become. I love you Sam , you rest easy bro. & continue being amazing. See you soon I love you ๐๐

Margarita, I am terribly sorry for your loss. Our children grew up together from like 1st grade until now. They played sports together, were to go to prom together and graduate together. I spent many times with Sammy and he was like family to us; from school, sporting events, sleepovers, church and just driving the boys to and from practices. My child and I are very saddened. He was a great young man, respectful, playful, funny, athletic, handsome and charismatic with a beautiful smile. I am very happy I got to know him and see him grow up. I won't ever forget him and envision him in front of me with his beautiful smile always greeting me with a hug and kiss and calling me mama lee. Your son is truly loved! May God comfort your sorrows and give you and your family strength during this so very difficult moment in you and your children's life.
