Peter S. Golov
Funeral Director, Pre-Planning Services
Peter S. Golov is a fourth generation Jewish Funeral Director with over 35 years experience in helping families celebrate the life of their loved one with compassion and dignity. Peter’s great-grandfather Jacob Stanetsky, a Lithuanian immigrant founded Stanetsky Memorial Chapels in the West End of Boston, MA in 1892. Jacob and his son, Manuel, later moved the family funeral business to the Grove Hall section of Dorchester, MA in 1934. They were both actively involved in the Boston Jewish Community for many years. The business was eventually moved to Brookline, MA by Manuel’s son- in-law, Arnold Golov in the mid 1950’s. Jacob Stanetsky instilled in each generation of his family that we treat every client that comes to us as if they are part of our own family.
In 1980 at the age of 18, Peter started working at Stanetsky Memorial Chapels learning all aspects of funeral service. He worked with his father, Arnold Golov, his two brothers, Manuel and James Golov, his brother-in-law, Robert W. LeVine and his uncle, Benjamin Birnbach. The Stanetsky family always followed a high standard towards families set by Jacob Stanetsky, Manuel Stanetsky and Arnold Golov.
Since 2011, Peter has been working for Graham Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors in Worcester, MA and the surrounding communities as a Funeral Director and Insurance Agent. He continues to serve the Jewish Community. Peter has said that his career in Funeral Service has been very rewarding by helping families celebrate the life of their loved one during a most difficult time by always showing compassion and trust. His number one priority is to ensure that the wishes of every family have been fulfilled. Peter continues using his great-grandfather’s principles today.
